Bad traders are kept out

Members who are willing to pay are much less likely to be bad traders. Between this and our other security measures, bad traders are almost non-existent.

Helps stimulate the market

Members need coins to buy games. Members need to sell games to get coins. If no one has any coins, then no one can buy games. This helps solve the old chicken or the egg dilemma. Members get coins to spend on games as soon as they start using 99Gamers.

Slow and steady

If we were to let everyone who is currently on the waiting list in at once, there would be more than 6000 members. This would create trading problems and the amount of bad traders would dramatically rise. By slowing the growth we can work out all the smaller details and make sure everyone’s trading experience goes smoothly.
